Men's Box Lacrosse Tournament Played at MVP Arena

Welcome to the ULAX Independence Cup! Games will be played at MVP Arena (Home of the Albany Firewolves) on Saturday, February 15th & Sunday, February 16th. Register with a team, group or as a solo free agent and we'll place you on a team. Follow the link below for additional details and to register today (space is limited).

The Cost:

ULAX Affiliated Teams/Clubs: $1,250

All Other Teams/Clubs: $1,500

Free Agents: $100/player

Priority Registration Deadline: Deposit must be received by January 19th. Space is limited so be sure to secure your spot sooner than later as spots are given on a first come first serve basis.

Cost Includes:

Complimentary ticket to the Albany Firewolves vs the Ottawa Black Bears on Saturday, February 15th

Round Robin (2 scheduled games/team (18-minute running halves))

Playoff Tournament for the top teams (18-minute running halves)

ULAX Tournament Jersey (required to play - unless given prior approval to wear team custom unis)

Champions Team name added to the Independence Cup Trophy!!

The Format:
All teams will compete in a two game round robin on the afternoon of Saturday, February 15th & the morning of Sunday, February 16th to determine seedings; and the top teams will advance to the tournament playoffs in the afternoon of Sunday, February 16th (tiebreaker: gf/ga differential). Each team will be scheduled to play a minimum of 2 games.

2025 Independence Cup Schedule

Saturday, February 15th - Round Robin (10am - 4pm)

Sunday, February 16th - Round Robin Followed by Playoff Tourney (9am - 6pm)

Playoff Tourney for the Top Teams (TBD) - NOTE: Tiebreaker, if any, based on GF/GA differential.

Building your own team? Email us your team name and we'll get it up on the site for your players to begin registering.

Playing with friends? Sign up as a free agent and put each other's names in the "friends who also play" section

Signing up solo? Register as a free agent and we'll place you on a team.

WEATHER POLICY:
We will send a tourney wide email to notify all players of any postponements/cancellations related to weather.

REFUND POLICY:
No refunds. In the event we have to cancel the tournament due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., weather, state restrictions etc.), we will provide a credit for a future event.
