Our night cap of week #2 was a battle between two winless teams, who both had close games in week one. Valhalla Vikings started strong behind 4 goals from Smith and 8 saves from Troche in cage. As this game went back and forth all night, the Shamrocks took the lead late and it seemed as if we might be headed to overtime, but Senese came up huge in cage. The Shamrocks played team ball on offense with assists on 7 of their 10 goals, 3 of which came from Massat. Bencic added 2 goals and 2 assists himself as the Shamrocks sneak out their first victory of the 2026 season 10-8.

Game #3 of the second week of Naperville Summer ULAX was another battle between two undefeated teams. The Tigeons, half tiger, half falcon, had a strong showing with hat tricks from both Clemens and Schmela. Their goalie Marasco also came up big with 8 saves, but the Southside Birds offense proved to be too much with 6 different players finding the net. Peacock had 4 goals while Richter finished with 3 as the Southside Birds soar above the Tigeons for the 12-8 victory to remain undefeated.

In our second game of week #2, we had two teams that were 1-0 coming into the game. After a scoreless first 10 minutes, it seemed that we were going to be in for a battle as both goalies Curley & Evinger were making all the saves. Teams then traded goals as the Mild Cats took a 5-2 lead into the half. The second half had a similar result as Gagnon finished with a hat trick for Grove Dynasty, but a well balanced offense from the Mild Cats with 9 different goal scorers proved to be too much as the Mild Cats took control, and the win 10-5 to stay undefeated.

The Red Hook Boys were red hot tonight with goals from 7 different players, and goalkeepers Zac Ware and Zach Novak held it down between the pipes, combining for 13 saves. Snuss Powders put out a gritty performance, battling for every ground ball, and didn’t quit until the end. Led offensively by Trey Marcil and Lucas Doherty combining for 4 goals, the Snuss Powders best performer was their goalkeeper, Gene Sydor, who made an astonishing 14 saves.

In our first game of week #2 of the 2026 Summer Naperville ULAX season, we had Montini Mafia and the Nightcrawlers coming into the game winless. This game ended up being all Nightcrawlers as they dominated from the first whistle. By halftime they were up 8-0 and piled it on in the second half behind hat tricks from both M. Keblusek and Lane. Rivera did his best in cage for the Montini Mafia, but his 11 saves were not enough as the Nightcrawlers came out with the 15-1 win.

ULAX LA Legacy team Malibu LC had a rough first match of their season, facing off against the highly coordinated, disciplined and motivated Red Rockets. Led from on the field by coach Mateo Lopez-Quintana (#28) who won many faceoffs for his boys in red, goal after goal kept breaching Malibu's defenses. However, new goaltender J. Medwin (#28) proved himself a valuable asset when he blocked more than one impressive shot from scoring. In the end, the score was 10-2 in the Red Rockets favor.

Two of the ULAX Los Angeles's most prominent teams faced off in the second game of the night in a titanic battle for league supremacy. In one corner, the recent ULAX SoCal Cup champions, the Beverly Hills Lacrosse Club were riding high off of their recent victories. In the other corner the former seven-time champions, the Chiefs who welcomed back star player Adam Dahms (#9). The competition was fierce from the get go, with Beverly Hills enjoying a three point lead throughout the first half. This began to change when the Chiefs came out swinging in the second half, eventually getting two goals from tying the match and ending with possession. In the end, the score was 6-4 in Beverly Hills favor.

In the first game of the ULAX Summer 2026 season the former Summer champions, the Mustangs faced one of the new teams this season: the Centurions. Both teams proved to be highly motivated but it was the Mustangs who had the advantage in team chemistry which provided many scoring opportunities. J. Yakatan (#42) of the Mustangs proved to be the games top scorer with three goals to his name. The final score was 7-2 in the Mustangs favor.

The Chedski had the advantage of one game with the late start. Whether the extra Gatorade or BeerLeague’s tired legs were the deciding factor in Che’s win we don’t know. The Che’s were led by the Big Reif with key goals in the first and second half. The BL ran out of gas with Sam Haws moving their offense with 2 points. Unsurprisingly the post-game cooler was empty shortly after game time. 90 degree temps will make that happen.

Under temperatures in the low 90’s with cold beverages at hand post-game, the BeerLeague grabbed a victory over the UnBEARables. In a game closer than the score indicates, it took late in the game for the BeerLeague to buffer the final score. The BL was paced offensively by Jimmy McKeown and Sam Columbo who both had 4 points. Ethan Hennessy paced a defense for the victors. The Bears were led by the always creative Cody Wetherald with 4 points and Aaron Beck who had a pair of goals.

The Rusty Rebels announced their arrival in U-Lax with an impressive 8-6 victory over the Sharks in their season opener. Despite some early-game rust, the Rebels quickly found their rhythm, moving the ball well and capitalizing on key scoring opportunities throughout the contest. The Sharks kept the pressure on and never let the Rebels get comfortable, but timely defense and clutch goals helped the Rebels maintain their advantage. A strong team effort on both ends of the field fueled the statement win, as the Rebels showcased the skill, chemistry, and determination that could make them a team to watch this season. For their first game in U-Lax, the Rusty Rebels couldn't have asked for a better start, earning a hard-fought 8-6 win and sending a message to the rest of the league.
