This week will start the Summer Playoffs check out season ranking and match ups at the playoff link above. Winners will advance to the Championship Game Aug 17. The losers will play in a consolation game.

Farber Wins in a Close One The Killers 11 at Team Farber 12 8/3/2008 Team Farber (Has Beens) looked dominant taking an early lead and maintaining a three goal lead throughout Sundays match up against the Killers. Down 10-7 going into the fourth quarter, Killers midfielder Dan Fosselman (1 goal) scored within the opening minute. Mitch Cohagen (2 goals) followed up scoring back to back goals putting the Killers in prime position for an upset. Chris Dusseau (2 goals) responded for Team Farber scoring a needed goal to regain the lead. Mike Janowicz (4 goals, 1 assist) added to the lead making it 12-10. In the end the Killers fell short a goal, but kept things interesting throughout. Photographed by Tim Leonard View gallery Dublin wins with ease. Team Dublin 12 at Worthington 2 8/3/2008 Team Dublin made their debut look easy yesterday against Worthington. Lead by Brady Burton (5 goals) and Derek Sheetz (2 goals, 1 assist) Dublin proved that while new to ULAX Columbus they should not be over looked. Worthington, with low numbers, and without captain J.P. Gillis was out played throughout the game. Strong goal tending from Kevin McGarity (10 saves) was not nearly enough in the teams lack of offensive production. Team Dublin will be matched up against the undefeated Team Farber next week which will mark the first game of the Summer playoffs. Photographed by Tim Leonard View gallery Team Farber Makes 4th Qtr Comeback! Team Farber 10 at Worthington 8 7/27/2008 The game had everything you wanted in summer ball. Chris Dusseau (2 goals) began the scoring with a behind the back goal within the opening minute of play. After that the game remained tight with a 5-5 tie going into the half. In the second half with a goal from Kyle Dolan (1 goal, 1 assist) Worthington took the lead by three. Goaltending by Kevin McGarity (11 saves) kept Worthington ahead until the fourth. Down 8-5 Team Farber came alive with a ringer from Eric Leibowitz (2 goals) to bring it within two. Dan Warren (1 goal) tied the game at eight with 7:00 min left and then Steve Dusseau (3 goals, 2 assists) took care of the rest. With this victory the Spring Champs shocked Worthington late in the game handing them their first loss of the season. Photographed by Corinne Notar View gallery Killers Kill Old Dogs, Seriously! Columbus Old Dogs 3 at The Killers 13 7/27/2008 The Killers made it look easy Sunday against the Old Dogs of Columbus. Joe Peruzzi (7 goals, 1 assist) joined the team after a week off adding to the offensive fire power. Colin Jack (1 goal, 1 assist) also made his presence known along with Bryan McDonald (1 goal) adding to the Old Dog bleeding. The team looks to take their first victory and use the momentum this coming Sunday, which will likely be a match up against the undefeated Team Farber. Photographed by Corinne Notar View gallery Worthington Kills Worthington 18 at The Killers 4 7/20/2008 Worthington remained undefeated yesterday playing in what was probably the hottest day of summer lax yet. Lead by Nick Harness (7 goals, 1 assist) the Worthington squad produced an awesome display of offensive fire power. Colin Jack of the Killers had the most notable performance with his 2 goal effort, but it was not nearly enough to hold off Worthington.
